The aim is to focus even better on different applications such as additive manufacturing, laser cladding or wear protection. Additional LMD/DED machine systems (CNC and robot types) will be installed over the next few months to advance machine and process development, develop customer-specific processes, and perform application demonstrations and training for customers. In addition, facilities for metallographic analysis will be set up for rapid quality control of the materials manufactured with LMD/DED.
